中华诗词学会会长孙轶青，1922年生，山东乐陵人，是我国思想文化战线一名德高

词事业重如山。为表彰孙轶青对中华诗词事业的巨大贡献，经中华诗词学会二届五次常
务理事会研究决定，授予“中华诗词终身成就奖”。

I have been seeing concerns that changing majors to petroleum engineering is
very difficult. This is absolutely not true. PE is the easiest one that
almost everyone in science and engineering majors can change to if people
are willing to, for example, ME, ChE, CE, EE, (Environmental Engr, Aarospace
Engr) ... geology (including geology, geophysics, petrophysics etc...),
hydrology, physics, math, CS and chemistry. The only major I am not too
positive is biology-related though.
HOWEVER, IT IS YO

你们招不招人，招什么样的人,招几个。这个东西更重要。

regarding university enrollment, the limit is the professorship in the US.
However, owing to the lack of teaching capacity, the total enrollment would
be around 1000 in a foreseable future in the US. Ph.Ds would be the level
of 40-80 nationwide. Likewise, big schools like UT TAMU would be enrolling
10-15 Ph.Ds in yearly base, noticing each have almost 20+ faculty members.
regarding the jobmarket, the picture is mixed. While the industry certainly
want to retain as many PE as possible, e.g, t

To answer several questions:
(1) PE is taking serious consideration of internship or working experience.
One with merely a PE degree may still be difficult to find a job. However,
compared with similar degrees, it still be easier. Many people have been
talking about taking part-time non-thesis based MS degrees in UH, U of Pitt
etc. While it certainly better than not-taking it, I still double the
effectiveness of doing so compared with thesis-based MS/PhD degrees in the
same area.
