EOR is a very broad topic. Solvent injection have been a proven technique.
Chemical flooding, on the other hand, is in progress with sufactant (ASP)
as a lead. ASP is one of the hottest topics in the industry and universities.
EOR are targetting improvements in one or more of the following four things:
residual oil saturation, displacement efficiency, vertical sweeping

EOR is a topic in reservoir engineering (油藏). Almost 60-70% engineers are
reservoir eningeers, production 15-20% and remaining drilling engineers.
Drilling and production engineers are easier to find jobs than reservoir
engineers in general.
Regarding 就业前景, almost every person in petroleum engineering can find a
job regardless what s/he was doing (if that person does not have visa/
clearance issues). The industry is facing a talent shortage challenge right
now and the next decade. ASP or othe

前几年要培养自己成为多面手，不要专作 EOR. EOR 在经济不好时是第一个被 killed
, 经济恢复时最后一个 pick up 的。
如果可能的话，选一个 petrophysics, geology 之类的 degree. 至少 project 要有
相当的分散度
