Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
The Department of Chemical Engineering at Auburn University invites
applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning with the Fall
2016 semester. The individual selected for this position will be expected to
contribute to the growth of at least one of the department’s strategic
focus areas: energy and environment, advanced materials, computer-aided
chemical engineering, and pharmaceutical/biomedical engineering. Furthermore
, the candidate will be expected to collaborate with faculty on a number of
interdisciplinary research projects, secure research funding, teach
undergraduate and graduate courses, and publish research results in
appropriate scholarly outlets. Additionally, the department is leading two
multidisciplinary Cluster Hire Initiatives in the areas of Scalable Energy
and Pharmaceutical Engineering. Candidates selected for these Cluster Hire
Initiative positions will be expected to participate actively in the
respective clusters. New faculty with expertise in Scalable Energy and
Pharmaceutical Engineering will complement the University’s considerable
expertise in these areas to form the core of this innovative
multidisciplinary initiative. For candidates selected for these cluster
positions, participation in cluster activities will be an important
component in faculty annual reviews.
