We are seeking world-class computer vision experts to join our team in
developing next generation products and platforms to tackle challenging but
exciting real-world problems. You should be comfortable with a high degree
of ambiguity and relish the idea of solving real world problems at large
scale. You will work on new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the
foundation of our current and future products. You will focus on taking new
technologies from early concept to the product level while iterating,
prototyping and developing softwares.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Develop novel and accurate computer vision algorithms and systems, using
deep
learning and/or conventional computer vision techniques.
● Evaluate and implement the state-of-art algorithms from recent top-tier
conference papers.
● Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of deployed
systems.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams from prototyping, iterating to
production-level software development.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
● Master degree or Ph.D. degree in computer science or similar field with 3
+ years of experience with published projects in the fields of machine
learning, deep learning and computer vision.
● Experienced with training deep neural network using platform such as
PyTorch
and Tensorflow.
● Experience in performance and optimization of computer vision/ machine
learning or image processing software modules.
● Fluent in high level programming language such as Python, Go.
● Hands-on experience with building commercial computer vision projects
from the level of prototyping to the level of production.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Proven track record of achieving results as demonstrated by first-
authored
publications at conferences such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, SIGGRAPH or similar.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
● Experience developing novel algorithms in the following:
○ Human pose estimation

○ Semantic segmentation

我们系上次有人申请CAREER还是几年前的事，赶上整个学科NSF连着两年一个CAREER都
没给，几个juniors当头被泼了一盆冷水，从那以后系里都不好意思鼓励谁再试。

的不够好,所以panel 给出了incremental 的评语.明年打算换题目了,这个题目改一改
投别的program.好在现在对自己的writing 比较有信心了.几个proposal都有well
written的评语.

羡慕你们能说该就改,还能投不同的program.俺socia sciences不行,打死就只有这一个
idea,而且全靠这一个idea吃饭,没有不同的program可以改投.真是这次整不上下次也不
用整了.

找同事帮忙看看也有好处. 我给了三个同事看, 他们给的意见都很好.

我的英语错误不少, 不过隔壁有个老教授人很好, 总是一句句帮我改.

我以前读书也有一个老教授，就象你这个同事那样nice，
总给中国学生改文章。以前的人，很多就是要做自己
喜欢的事情。现在的环境，有点过于功利了。

我们系的氛围不错。我刚来的时候，有一个副教授和一个正教授对我很好。我搬家，买
洗衣机，买沙发什么的，都是他们来帮忙运帮忙装。我这学期基本每个周六都到这个正
教授家里一起看football，看完了一块儿吃饭。由于有这些朋友，我领导现在也觉得这
里很温馨了。本来她一直怀念我原来的学校的。
我在外系的一个合作的distinguish professor也是很nice，我刚来时第一次上课，选
课的5个人有3个是他的学生。我觉得这些人为人做事都很decent，值得学习。

decent这个词形容的非常好。老外的特点 做什么事情都很专业 不失身份 也许老中这
方面需要加强 当然很多人做得也很好
