我是nonresident，写的是 1040NR-EZ
收到1042-s，但gross income是261，income code是29，也就是deposit interest
tax rate是0，也就是不需要征税吧？
所以对于这个income，就直接ignore吧？

今天和老板聊起几个月前为啥拒了和我面试同一职位的人，老板说那人说错一句话，有
个老美manager问他今后怎么考虑，会不会回国（他也是中国人）。他回答说会考虑回
国。回头几个面试他的人坐下来交流意见，这老美就把这条拿出来，说1，有可能留不
住他；2，他要回中国去了竞争对手那里，就更糟了。在场的其他manager没人敢保他，
于是就因为这个，把他fail了。
我现在公司在国内也有R&D，所以我问头，说可能那个面试的人只是想显得自己
flexible，愿意服从调动的意思。我老板说，既然招的是美国的职位，一般就是希望你
能留在美国的，否则会在中国当地招，反正有的是人。公司面试你，involve很大的时
间人力，还是希望你有loyalty。
我问老板那碰到这问题怎么答好，他说不要急着当一个优势来说，说如果工作上有需要
，可以接受安排就比较好。要把话说明白，reassure面试官，就算回国，也是公司内部
调动。

This is close to nonsense. Who cares about your plans five years from now.
There might be other reasons.

我听了也觉得这理由挺random的，我老板和另一个同事都说他报告给的挺好的，就那老
美manager爱钻牛角尖抓住不放
我能拿到offer，纯粹是对手的一个失误
