Herbicides Diazomethane derivative. When generated diazomethane in hexane,
It can be stored in Fridge for a week. Question: How do you add this
diazomethane hexane (let's say 4ml) to the sample? Is it safe to use glass
pipette to transfer? Thanks in advanced.

I made it before. I was trembling when I operated the reaction. It is an
explosive compound. It could explode anytime.

use sigma's TMS-diazomethane, same thing but way way safer...

reactivity not the same la...
TMS-diazomethane is very toxic...
someone died for this not long time ago...

I made lot of time of diazomethane, in Et2O.
Since I always added excess, I directly added it with appropriate volume,
before I was told do not used needles. You can use graduate cylinder.

Use TMS-diazomethane. Although it is supertoxic --- as toxic as
diazomethane, it is not explosive. Treat TMS-diazomethane with utmost care
