背景是我需要办个德国申根签证，但是我美国签证已经到期了。
德国使馆一开始这么说：You would have to provide an itinerary to your home
country after your stay in Germany.
我就问：Regarding the itinerary to my home country, must I buy an airline
ticket and present the receipt to you when applying for the visa? Is a
ticket pre-order confirmation letter also OK (this means I don't have to
really buy the ticket)?
结果德国使馆又说：You need a ticket or flight reservation.
请问itinerary和flight reservation啥区别？后者上面必须有ticket number么？只有
confirmation number行么？

只要reserve就可以了。有的申根国家大使馆网站上还叮嘱说，不要在拿到之前买机票。
