hi. DaXiamen
here is how it happened
I went to a website, the very moment I was there
my computer hangs
after that, everytime I start windows XP
it can still log in, it can show the desktop
but I can not start any program, the mouse icon is always an hourglass
I open taskmanager, it still can terminate tasks, but that is about it
nothing further
I do not want to format the harddisk, too many data and software
anything I can do?
Please help . if you help me out, anytime you come to LA, I will tre

今天不小心删了fingerprint,现在就没有办法login了，有办法bypass fingerprint吗

谢谢大家的捧场，我也是PE first time taker，开始对PE考试也是迷迷糊糊的，疑问
很多，现在考过了，有些自己的经验和大家分享，这样就不用像我那时候一样战战兢兢
的了。上个星期太忙了，没有工夫写，今天写完了，不过拉在公司了，先广告一下了.

Study strategies: where to start and when to stop
Strategy 1: Stay focused. When taking Civil PE, you basically are dealing with five different subjects. It is especially true for morning/breadth section, where, ideally, 40 questions will be equally distributed in the five tested areas. So does it mean you will divide your study time equally? 如果只是在 shared memory 上算，用openMP 更好吧。

why do you want to use MPI on multi-core processor? makes no sense at all.

我想同一件工作再2个cpu 上运行。
之单独run 没有mater control 只有一个cpu 被利用。

你在multicore上用mpi就好比是你通过邮局写信给你的roommate.

Nice post!
I plan to start studying for PE next week.

with five different subjects. It is especially true for morning/breadth
section, where, ideally, 40 questions will be equally distributed in the
five tested areas. So does it mean you will divide your study time equally?
My answer is absolutely not. Why? Because the morning section is combined
with depth exam results for final score! And for the most cases, the depth
exam is where your expertise is and where you should st: ay focused.

这个比喻不恰当吧？
1 就是编了一小段master mpi 程序。
2 免费的，邮局收费。
3 邮局慢，我想利用起来2个copu 肯定比只用due core 的一个cpu 快。
4 正如下个帖子说得，找到48个cpu 机器就scalable 了。

if it is just for learning , fine, do whatever you like. If for something
real, better think again.
