标题: 今天还是去Bilson那个讨论了
跟老板的meeting正好改到明天，就去成了。
Bilson主要讲的embellishments，用的例子是451第二乐章一段据说是莫扎特授意的谱
子（因考证说不是手稿）是有不少装饰的。然后是466第二乐章一段（以F Bb D F | Eb
C A Eb那两个小节为中心前后各十来小节直到回到F EFEFGF那个主题），谱子上记得
极简单，Badura-Skoda书上倾向于（有的语气近似警告）尊重原谱，并以现代钢琴的声
音效果等为依据，比如上面那个F Bb D F是四个音踩四个踏板。Bilson说Badura-Skoda
他们搞fortepiano算是很早的，五十年代就开始，但也因此写书时很多想法还拘束在现
代钢琴上，比如像这种段落在fortepiano上即使比较快的速度声音也不能延续，而且以
451那个“手稿”为例说莫扎特本人和那个时代的演奏家也是加embellishments的，虽
然出版乐谱时是这种简洁形式流传。然后放Robert Levin（他们几个老家伙一口一个
Bob的叫，那个亲切……

请问版上有人是专门做 GPU 编程的么
请问你们找到的工作都是在什么公司啊？
我会 CUDA, MPI, OpenMP, 是一个PhD 学生。但是现在想拿master找工作。想请教下大
家的经验

This industry seems to more miserable in UK.
FIGURES released recently showing the number of applications for degree
courses at UK universities show that applications for civil engineering
degrees were down by 12.1% compared with 2011. The drop across applications
for all subjects was only 7.7%. Explanations for the fall in civil
engineering numbers are numerous and include:
• The perceived ‘difficulty’ of the subject;
• Concerns over the unattractiveness and cyclical nature of the
construction industry; and
• The allure of other glitzy,nontechnical subjects currently
fashionable among young people.
The salary situtation does not look any healthier either: the starting
salary for a civil engineering graduate in 2011/12 was £24,500 (US$38,
363), whereas an investment banker can enjoy a starting salary of £38,
000 (US$59,500).
No wonder they are shunning engineering.

做这个主要是算法优化啥的。
看看那些大公司，需要处理大量数据的。比如CGGVeritas.
小公司用处不大。
