If I want to do data analysis jobs (either in bioinformatics or other data
analysis jobs in other industries), should I get a stats or CS master degree
? I am currently working a NGS company. My current job involves a little bit
data analysis work on NGS sequencing data.

如题，我已经弄到书了，就不想买了，可是在网上注册的时候似乎必需选择买书，问问
大侠们可不可以只注册不买书呢？如果能，要怎么样操作呢？

NCEES Names Official Credentials Evaluator
The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES)
announced an important change affecting NCEES Records applicants who earned
their non-accredited degrees outside the United States. As of December 1,
2012, NCEES ceased accepting foreign credential evaluation services from any
organization other than its own NCEES Credentials Evaluations service.
NCEES Records applicants with degrees from outside the United States that
are not accredited by ABET can find more information on the evaluation
process at http://ncees.org/credentials-evaluations/

又看到一贴，看来是有工作的，公司报销的话，
在职就读一个轻松的吧，你的工作口比较窄
不为办身份，爱学啥学啥吧

do you know difference between stats and applied statistics? Which one
should I go for if I want to get an industry job?

区别当然有，但对找工作帮助不大，公司更看中你SAS通过了几级
会哪些统计学MODEL，数据库SQL水平如何？

呵呵 08年的时候是不绑定的后来都规定要买书了

from my experience, a CS degree is much more worthy the money. It will give
you a broaden range in job searching... But to be aware, cs degree may need
more energy and time to invest in, compared to finishing a stats degree.
I see some one with a stats degree but wish to have a cs degree. I never see
anyone with a cs degree with to have another cs degree.
