Hi there,
I have a question.
Say I have computed a scalar field in a 3D space. I want to know how linear
this field is,i.e, how close it is too
f=a*x+b*y+c*z+d
I basically have a list of points with
x y z f
Is there any way statistics to show this?
Thanks a lot.

最小二乘法,线性拟合出a, b, c, d
然后求真实f和拟合f的方差不就可以吗?
方差越大,linearity is poorer
