请问如果能够claim parent as dependent, (resident alien, dependent in US >
183 days in 2008)，是不是single filer也可以claim head of household? 谢谢!

I believe yes.
To qualify as a HOH, the tax payer must meet all of these tests:
1. the taxpayer is not married at the end of year (exception: married
taxpayers can qualify as HOH by meeting the tests for Considered Unmarried)
2. the taxpayer paid more than half the cost of keeping up home.
3. The home was the principal residence for more than half of the year of
either: the taxpayer's qualifying child or the taxpayer's qualifying
relative who is the taxpayer's dependent
4. the taxpayer is a US c

怎么样通过test 1 or test 2啊?
通不过就不行
test 1通不过因为
main home for ALL of 2008 of your parents..
这条你通不过除非你parents all of 2008都呆在这?
test 2
一样的情况 (all of 2008)
不知道是不是我将All of 2008现解错了?
