no idea about him, who built the room almost from ground
up when adding other parts to the house.
most people convert basement to HT room, and cost typically
is several thousand dollars. equipment, a new projector
plus screen could cost around $10k. other gears may cost
$1k - 10k in typical.

this guys has 4000+ titles, including both LD and DVD,
if each one averaged at $10, that's 40k already

today when to a chinese lady's place to get haircut.
there's several pieces of stereo gears in the room...
the lady said it was her husband's... bought at around
$5000 in 1970. there are a receiver, record player, a tape
deck, using those tape disks, not cassette...

that guy actually wasn't rich at all. he drove a
beat-down car at that time and almost spent his
whole savings on this thing... he died maybe 10
years ago and his wife just didn't know what
to do with those gears... just collecting dusts...
