got it through blockbuster deal.
it's called collector's edition, but only plain plastic
case... IMO, any collector's version should have nice
package... anyway.

i always don't understand why dvdrip came out so ahead of time.
there are so called "dvdrip" for star wars episode II just a couple of months
after the movie, but I watched and felt it's the "film rip", not really high
quality at all (but not the lousy "movie" version either), however, for
many divx movies like Monsters Inc, they are indeed dvdrips, which appeared
months ago.

some rips are coming out of screeners for internal reviews but not the finalized version

even final version could be couple of months before release
date... the studio sends out DVDs to all kind of reviewers...
BTW, the monsters Inc DVD is in very high video and audio quality.

Yeah, they call it buzz, which implys that they don't
fear the bootleg.
For example, although there are so called rip version
of star wars now, no extra disc, which imply the
studio may intentionally let the disc out to make
some buzz to the formal release. Similar case happens
when one film want to have some buzz on its theatre
release.

ha, on the contrary, all collector's editions from Disney and Universal were
just plain packaged except the latest "Pulp fiction" and "Jackie Brown". I
doubt that Disney will dump "Vista Series" 'cause these two CEs have exactly
the same style of packaging as previous vista series.
BTW: Also got "Monster, inc" today. The video quality is astonishing!

speechless... it's the best DVD in video quality without any doubt...
the sound is also great.
BTW, jackie brown is also in very high video quality.
