hehe... in case something wrong, you can return the DVD to
local Kmart for full money back, as I understand... I ordered
two... hohoho...

Now it's back to $62.99. Hope they will honor it, haha.
I also saw news online this morning that the 2-disc edition will also have
both versions of the movie (due to the request of Spielberg!). Now looks like
the only goody of the gift set is some special features, some collectibles and
a probably cooler packaging...but the price is almost tripled! Who would buy
it?
I guess many people will cancel their orders of the gift set and go for the
much cheaper one.

no idea... I think they planned to have one version only on

box set to something like $40 though...

Yeah only the 2002 version on 2-disc set as initially planned. But Spielberg
think it's more important for viewers to have the original version of the
movie other than some special features. So the studio has to make the change.
The funny thing is the DVD is being released next week. They still haven't
decided what to put on it?

I saw E.T. gift box at bestbuy today...a huge huge heavy box...
I kind of regreted that I ordered it:P...too big to fit in my collections :P
It is said the 2-disc set has DTS track on both version of the movie, but in
gift set only the 2002 version has DTS.
