you need a big enough TV which takes progressive scan
input. people say it gives better image but I don't
feel much difference (on my 53" RPTV). some cheap
progressive players may have much worse image than a
good non-progressive though. I've bought a $99 from
sam's club and returned it next day...

So you're not using a progressive scan player with your big TV?!

I'm not. I "tried" two progressive scan players, on above
mentioned, and one panny RP62, which supposely should be
a good one. but I didn't see much difference and returned
both.
