You can find many dance companies that have contemporary/modern ballet shows
. NY city ballet does a lot of contemporary ballet (still with the pointe
shoes though). You can go to ticketmaster.com and search under performing
arts in new york, and I am sure you will get tons of returns. I envy you.

I bought same day ticket for Broadway shows at half price. The ticket booth
is in middle of Time Square. I am just not sure, if they sell tickets for
Ballet shows. Please let us know if you get some good deal.

NYCB's season not opening yet, all (s)he can catch is ABT, which has a good
repertory right now.
