russian很牛ya, most of top dancers in US are from russia.
Hopefully, China will produce some top dancers soon. According to a Chinese
official, there are over 6000 couples (younger than 15 years old) regularly
competiting in China. The number is there, if they have good coaches,
Chinese will be 很牛 soon.

thx for providing the statistics.
china definitely has a promising future in dancesport. just look at
international gymnastics competitions or figure skating comps - all those
that require a combination of technique (body flexibility, limb coordination
, etc) and art. Russia, east europe and china are always the strongest.
china does not have top dancesport competitors simply because it was not a
tradition. once it has been introduced to china, it'll grow faaaast.
