are you talking about positions for legs?
it's borrowed from ballet language. there are 5 positions
some picutures demostrating the leg positions:

not exactly...I was talking about latin dance, in which,
5th position means both man and lady take a back break (with quarter turn)
and thus open at 90 degree.
I can't relate that to the ballet leg position.

还是不是很明白，作为新手，理解能力有限啊。只是想理解一下这些怪词的意义，

就是说，比如你在原地脚前后分开站，只有fifth position才稳当，因为x-y两个方向
都有支撑，如果你两个脚方向一致，不稳当。所以这个是很经常用的
