in the definition of table e1, fname is of type
character(10).
so if i ran the following sql, what i got:
SQL> select '++'||fname||'++' from e1;
'++'||FNAME||'

It is not (I think) a problem of sys_context, sys_context is only an oracle
function implemented in PL/SQL, ( i believe :)
It is more likely to be the problem how oracle implements '=' operator.
Read more documentation on it. It might have ignored the spaces.

【在 d**a 的大作中提到】
: in the definition of table e1, fname is of type

: so if i ran the following sql, what i got:
: SQL> select '++'||fname||'++' from e1;
: '++'||FNAME||'
