Hello all,
I am learning Oracle RDBMS and am confused with the admin of it.
I have a user named APPADMIN which is to be used to administrate the schema
for the application and hence has the privelege to create tables, drop tables
and etc. meanwhile, the application used by the users need to access the
database with a more restrictive previliges. and my application may have lots
of users to use it.
my 1st question is: how to manage the so many application users? i should
create all the app users

for first question, either way can do the job, kind of trade off thing.
second question, do not get what u mean.

I am using Oracle as the DB server. so i create a user APPADMIN to create and
maintain the schema objects (tables, views, and etc). When i access the
database with an application user, say TOM, who is another database user in
the Oracle, I need to use a SQL as "SELECT * from APPADMIN.sometable". that
looks very inconvenient, as I have to use the schema name before the table
names, and it is not portable to other DBMS. on the other hand, if i use
APPADMIN to connect to the database in the applic
