Oracle每次一重启就不能用了...help please~# Database - 数据库

it is driving me nuts...
Oracle Enterprise Edition 8i
以前在win2k下可以用(btw,机器是用modem的, 不知道对host有没有影响)
现在在winXP下用, 新建一个database, system/scott都可以用
可是重新启动机器, TNSListener started 正常, OracleServiceDatabasename
始终就在那儿"starting". SQL plus 进不去.
check了listener.ora, TNSNames.ora, services.ora似乎都没什么问题
也用database configuration assistant, Net8 configrate assistant试了
把机器格式化重装还是这样
把那个database删了, 重新建一个, start, stop, restart都好好的, sql plus
也好好的, 可是一重启机器, 它又在那儿"starting"...
有谁遇见过这样的情况吗? 帮帮我呀, 多谢!

When you remove Oracle, did you remove cleanly?
Remove all Oracle related stuff: database folder, and program folder, and
registry.
Or try Oracle 9i release 2, very nice. I just installed it on Win2K today and
everything runs very smoothly.

没有删Oracle呀
只是删database的实例
因为觉得一定是设置的问题
但找不到...

What's in alert log?
Try to start manually;
svrmgrl
connect internal
startup no mount
alter database mount
alter database open
Then see when it hung and fix related problems

厉害...可以用了
但是service的OracleServiceDatabase还是在starting...
但是我在dos里敲完命令后
再在windows 里用SQL Plus就可以了
要是不知道为什么的话, 反正把这些命令输入到一个bat文件里
每次RUN一下, 至少可以开始学了...thank you so much
and by the way,
where can i find the reason?
where's the alert log located?

Alert log is under your background_dump_dest directory and this parameter is
set in your init.ora file, and usually your init.ora file is under
$ORACLE_HOME/dbs (this is for UNIX, I'm not sure for windows), but you can
just search for *.ora under $ORACLE_HOME.
Don't think put those command in .bat is good idea, it's not helpful for you
to debug your problem. Actually this is a very good first lesson for you to
learn Oracle(I'm assuming you don't have much experience with Oracle), get t
