tell what the problem is except for there is an error...
is there a way to paste an excel column(s) to an access column(s)
thanks

that's what I did, it only says there is some error occurred and import
failed... I was trying to import to an existing table though.
how do I import only a column ?
I don't know if there are better ways, learning VBA is too much
for me to handle, since it not worth the time for the project.

I also met similar problems. In my case, the main problem is data format.
We have date type, character, number, and sth like 15a.
What we did finally is in Excel, set ALL columns to be Text format, then
save as text file, import into Access.

If you have SQL server, you can use DTS to import Excel data into Access and
specify the data format for each column :)
