Bad, there will be 2 VS2005 soon. One is Visual Studio,
another one is Virtual Server.

yes, some geek complained about a missing hobbyist version on VS.NET magazine
and here we are. sometime you've gotta be careful about what you wish for :-)

NET framework 2.0 beta is going to be the same.
i guess the whole thing is going to be better than WebMatrix

慢的一塌糊涂
连荡带装花了1.5 小时
1)VC# Express
2)SQL Server Express
3)MSDN Express
4).NET 2.0
took a total of around 900 on disk. during the installation,
peak disk usage is around 1.2GB
RUN起来速度还可以
XP2200+
1G Ram
3Mbps Cable

i haven't seen anything new in the GUI yet
what interests me is the new features in the
framework. trying some old PDC examples
right now
apparently it could open those solution/project
files produced by full alpha/beta, which is good

it is converting. some projects created under vs2003 were
converted.
annoying part is that it is throwing syntax errors on some
projects. i guess some libraries valid at that time got deprecated
afterwards

the component compatibility has been a big part from the old ATL/COM
dll hell ear.
