工程背景。
11号的字，把teaching and research statement都放在一起了，
第四页大部分是reference. 这样的长度是否还太长了？
我看精华区好像大家都在2页之内啊，我这儿要再压缩吗？

想科普一下
401K和Roth 401K的区别，只知道一个是pretax，一个是post-tax
比如说年收入100K，40%的tax，6% 公司match3%，自己付6k，公司pay3k,这样的话，税
怎么交，哪个比较合算一些呢？

我觉得只要言之有物，4页或者再多一两页也不算长。除非对方要求少于几页。Faculty
们请说说？

are all the references your own publications? Otherwise, I would not list
many references, as it may have negative impact (it tells the committee that
your research field is great but you are not in yet).

I only put one review paper as the first reference paper, other
references are my papers and patents.
