SURE. The only problem is that the recipient needs to report this gross amount as income, because it is not actual reimbursement, and take Sch A itemized deduction subject to 2% AGI floor. Most likely the recipient will get NO tax deductions. Company + individual combined, you lost the deduction, and lost tax money, also raise audit risk. Not recommended.
all the round amounts in the tax return is a red flag. good records keeping will save you a lot of trouble along the way. and considering using CC to save on paper receipts etc. Also, no substantiation requirements for exp. under $75, with exception for travel/auto.
Delta just ended their promotion on Sept 15th. We got two tickets for the end of Oct 875$/PPL. They will have promotion again sometime in Oct/Nov but do not expect the price below 1000$. But something between 1200 ~ 1300$ should be reasonable.
