Anyone can introduce the postdoc positions in national labs?
My carrer plan is to be a faculty. If I get postdoc offers from a top 20
university and a national lab, which one is better for my career?

公婆婆12年6月呆到13年5月, 中间续了签证. 现在又要来美国, 要重新面签吗?

我这种情况的不多，冒个泡给同病相怜的人打打气吧．
EB2
PD: April 2007 (PERM approved in September 2007)
I-485 Receipt Date: Aug 5, 2011
FP notice: 9/1
FP appointment: 9/28
EAD/AP received: 9/24
等得都麻木了，也没去试walk-in FP，不过收到EAD还是高兴了一下。
记得前两天有人问EAD/AP是否同一张卡，我的EAD上印着serves as I-512 advance
parole，看来就是了。

No matter a national lab or a top 20 university, the reputation, net working
, group activity (publication) of your future postdoc advisor will be the
most important factors to be considered. I know quite a few persons go to
academia after postdoc in national lab or company research lab.
The good thing of national lab is the pay is quite decent.

以我当年几个labmate的经历，想混学术圈，当faculty，最好还是去top top
university, 不要去national lab，因为national lab做的东西介于 academic 和
commercial 之间，可以说是两头不讨好。如果你打算在national lab里当个permant
staff, 那没问题，而且最好是去那些大型的 user facility,不用担心funding.

If you want to be a faculty, choose postdoc in top universities,
If you want to be a scientist, choose postdoc in national labs.
The critical part is that you will interact with different set of people
during your postdoc which determines where you can find the job afterwards.
If you choose wrong, it will be very difficult to change back.

I did not regularly check the case status. Cast status now shows:
POST DECISION ACTIVITY.

yes both are two year.
$985 (I485) + $85 (biometrics) = $1070 each applicant
