最后一个人面完大概一周半给SC发信得到如下回复
We are still in the process of finalizing the selections. This may take a
while (up to a month) as the chair has to discuss several options with the
administration with respect to each of the candidates, which the Dean has to
approve.
这个chair跟HR讨论的是每个人么还是只是top candidates. 难道是offer已经发了只
是在negotiation 而已？这个位置一共面了六个人可能会招两个人

看样子是offer给了top candidate，一般不会那么久。
SC和department chair是一个人吗？

在跟top candidate negotiation. 但是还没直接拒你，如果top拒了她们，她们还是可
能再reach你。

猜楼主也是理工科（化工？），有打听面试6个中有女，黑，墨，军不？
这个其实不诡异，应该是我们华男（处在食物链最底层,除了极少数star外)很常碰见的一
个流程吧。听说有人等了2-3个月突然拿到offer的。如您所猜，应该是在和第一候选人
谈判。这样的人一般不止一个offer，所以楼主还是有希望的。祝好运！
