Just got off a call with a L2 officer. I was lucky to have very pleasant
conversation with the L2 officer.Here's my conversation
Officer: What is the information you want from your case?
Me: I would like to know if the BG cleared and everything is in order.
Officer: Yes, the BG cleared and we have received everything required.
Me: Could you please tell me if the case was assigned to an IO?
Officer: Your case was assigned on March 13 ( consistent with the
information I got when I spoke to a L2 officer two weeks ago) and the file
was reviewed by the officer yesterday.
Officer: Please tell me your priority date:
Me: 15 feb 2008
Officer: You have a visa available and visas are available next month also.
Me: Did you say a visa was available?
Officer: Yes sir. For your priority date there is a availability. I see here
your are from India and there is no danger of retrogression.
Me: Was my application with the same IO?
Officer: Is your wife with you right now?
Me: No.
Officer: I am afraid I cannot divulge any information regarding her case.
Me: She is a dependent on my case and just wanted to find out if same Io was
working on it or not?
Officer: Give me her receipt number
Me: LIN1290170XXX
Officer: Please connect your wife on a conference call while I pull up her
file.
Me: Ok thanks.
Officer: Hello mam, Please confirm your DOB and father's name:
My wife: told the required
Officer: Thank you. Is it OK if I discuss your case with your husband?
My wife: Yes
Officer: Sir, your wife's file is with the same IO. and it was reviewed
today.
Me: Would you know when I could expect the approval?
Officer: I am afraid not. But a month or so if everything goes well.
Me: Just out of curiosity how long would the visas be available.
Officer: Based on my understanding, I think Visas are available for
priorities dates until early 2010.
Me: Thank you. Have a wonderful day.
Officer: Thank you and please don't hesitate to call back if you have any
further questions.
The purpose of this was to share the experience/information with all of you.
There is still hope. There is no need for negative thoughts. Lets all be
positive and hope for the best.

明显是一个底层办事员的猜测而已。他认为当前的排期就是当前的visa availability
日期。
