H1B好像什么时候都可以cancel的，你不去上班，换个工作的话，公司自然就给你
cancel了。一个人可以有几个h1b，所以想来你的OPT可以继续在另外的公司用了。

if you stay in US on Sep 30 and Oct 1 2012, your legal non-immigrant status
changes from F1 to H1 automatically, so your OPT is canceled when you
becomes H1 on Oct 1. So your plan won't work if you remain in the US, from
