Immigration reform is a hot button issue being debated across America, from
the floor of the Capitol to main street U.S.A.
There are currently an estimated 11.5 million illegal immigrants living in
the U.S., that's a 33% increase since 2000. And in fact, today 5.2% of the U
.S. labor force consists of undocumented workers.
The “Gang of Eight,” a bipartisan group of eight senators, is currently
working on a plan to reform immigration policy in the U.S. The group of
lawmakers is expected to present its bill, which will provide a path to U.S.
citizenship for all those living in this country illegally, on the floor of
the Senate later in March.
