or gained Ph.D in the area of nonlinear structural analysis area.
• The person should have an extensive understanding of structural
analysis from a solid mechanics perspective as related to simulation methods.
• Requires a self-starter with potential for technical leadership and
coaching/teaching skills.
• Must have ability to communicate technical information effectively
with team members, as well as to managers and engineers in client business
units.
Desired:
• Working knowledge of structural analysis software tools (e.g.,
ABAQUS, IDEAS, Hypermesh, LS-Dyna, NASTRAN).
• Experience in powertrain and other compatible component/structures
is desired, but not required.
• Experience in finite element analysis methods to perform nonlinear (
e.g. contact, metal plasticity and material large deformation) analysis is a
plus.
• Knowledge in general fatigue is a plus.
• Experience in failure mechanism of both metallic and non-metallic
structures is a plus.
