先谢谢大家！
6月6号告诉被雷，7月6号是最后一天，新的工作已经找到， h1b transfer的材料已经
交给律师。现在有几个问题不清楚
1. 如果7月6号最后一个payment，那么如果在6号以前新公司不能把h1b transfer 的申
请交上去，就意味着我out of status了对吗？新公司办pp
2. 如果现在的公司同意帮我把最后一个paycheck 留到15号，是不是就不需要再申请转
f1 之类的先保住自己不是out of status 了呢？
第一次碰到这种事没啥经验，谢谢大家帮忙！

好像听说gap不大的话没什么问题，但是只是听说，没有依据。如果你能跟公司协商延
长h1b没有gap那自然是最好了。

申请加急处理的话，一两周之内的断档就没有问题，而且你的新公司应该可以现在就申
请了，跟换工作一样。

h1b有15天的grace period，有了h1b transfer receipt就可以工作

1. Yes, but USCIS does not care for such small gap (normally <30 days). In
other words, you can still ask the new company to submit the H1B transfer.
Also it may take some time for your old company to notify USCIS to cancel
your H1B.
2. You are correct. Do NOT apply F1 or other non-immigration status without
talking to the lawyer of the new company. Sometime it may make it
complicated and delay your H1B transfer.
