When does this new policy start?
The policy is effective immediately, from 14 April 2015 - every member has
12 months from the announcement to earn or redeem points to extend their
point balance. The first expiration won't occur until May 2016. From May
2016, we will continue to review activity on a monthly basis for all
accounts and expire points from inactive accounts. We will keep you informed
about your points and all the ways you can earn or redeem your points, as
long as you opt in to our communications by logging in to your account on
ihgrewardsclub.com and updating your subscriptions under "Communications
Preferences".

被无良的0002RFE了，明显没仔细看我递交的材料。。。这2个月我的case基本没什么变
化，知道通过的希望不大，现在还是硬着头皮准备一下RFE
请问要推荐信还用原来的email模板，还是强调一下，因为RFE需要更强的supporting
letter啊?

我的个人背景情况如下：
国内临床医学本科+硕士毕业，硕士期间发表过SCI文章，没有影响因子特别高的，基本
都在3分左右，一作+其他作者合计11篇，目前累计引用总数93（ISIWOK数据），审核文
章一次
目前取得美国PHD入学资格，将于8月进入PHD工作，PHD项目平均毕业年限5.5年
想请教各位前辈，像我这种背景，应该选择什么样的绿卡途径？目前了解到EB-1A和EB2
中的NIW可以以个人名义进行申请，想有熟悉情况的前辈指点，如何选择？

Get your F1 visa first, come to us.
Then file your NIW petition immediately. you have 99% chance to get approved.
Then you may obtain the GC after you finish your PHD.
You can also try eb1a soon or later. You may have a better chance when your
background become stronger.
Most important thing is get your F1 visa first. Otherwise, you may get a
rejection for your F1 visa.

You could try to pass the USMLE drying your PHD time!
So after your graduation, you will have your GC and become d real 'doctor'.
You should know how much a real doctor can earn than a PHD.

我的F1已经申请到了，有一个疑问，就是如果F1有效期5年内我PHD还没毕业，那F1到期
后到NIW绿卡拿到这段时间，应该怎么留在美国？谢谢

你说的file485的时间其实和NIW排期时间是一个概念吗？如果不是的话会差多少呢？谢谢

有移民倾向后F1 visa可能拿不到，所以一般都是建议不要离境
你这种情况可以考虑Ph.D最后一年尝试EB1A

I heard the F1 visa is now valid for 5 years. Is that mean you do not need
apply any F1 visa within 5 years? If that is the case, you may travel
between US and China freely before your visa expired. The only chance you
can not come in is at the board. I do not know if the officer at board can
check if you apply a GC or not.
I guess the time of filing a 485 should be 1 to 2 years ahead the time you
get your GC. After you filed your 485, you can also apply EAD and AP. Then
you can use AP to enter US.

The last year of his PHD should be 4 years later from his Priority Day (If
he filed NIW petition immediately after his arriving ). It may not be that
helpful to do the EB1a at that time. He should have submitted 485 forms in 4
years later. I assume the waiting time will still be around 4-5 years for
EB2.

我看移民局Visa Bullitin，7月份EB2类的排期在2010年，5月份之前排期在2012年，搞
不懂到底现在提交的要排期多久了

Alright, here's the deal. You want to immigrate to U.S, those things are
what you have to take. Imagine you will spend most of your life in U.S.
after your immigration.
I don't know what things attach you back home. Maybe family, friends or food.
NIW is your best chance right now. No one knows how long exactly it will
take. So apply it as early as possible.
You can ask your parents to apply B2 visa. They can stay with you in U.S.
every other 6 months.
Try to make some new friends here and enjoy your new life.
Time flies.
