因为lay off, 两份h1b工作之间有gap, 下周绿卡面试，如果问到 are you always in
status ？该怎么回答比较好 ？

You need to disclose more information about the gap, such as
1.When did it happen?
2.How long was the gap?
3.Did you have other status to allow you staying in the US legally during
the gap?
......
Better to talk to your lawyer if it is a complicated situation.

我的gap不超过两个月，但是是在2014年，那时的60天grade period还没生效，不知道
算不算out of status.
