the records if you did not have a valid card, and this is the time to
unscramble the records. Request a form SSA-7004, Request for Earnings and
Benefit Estimate Statement, from Social Security to check these records. In
fact, you should check your earnings statement every three to four years,
because errors more than four years old cannot usually be corrected.

反正我没换。理论上是需要的，但是我知道的人大部分都懒得换，也没啥关系。如果
ssn office不要排队那就换吧，如果要排一个小时对那就算了吧。

需要更新。以前的ssn只是为了工作用的，更新后的ssn可以有更多的用处，比如房贷、
福利等。不过当前，福利要小心了。

不需要，我就是隔壁骂那些傻逼的人，曾经花了一个上午去拿号排队，排到窗口被人损
一顿打发走了的亲自经历过的人。现在让我再说一遍的话，我还是想说给那些道听途说

再说一遍不需要，买房子根本不需要那个破纸片，只需要填ssn号，没有任何地方需要你
复印那个破纸片，ssn号不管你换和不换都是不变的。除非你说你的ssn被滥用了，被盗
用了，你去申请作废要新的才会给你换号。
这些道听途说的sb门不要糟蹋人了。

SSN建议更新，不更新应该也没事。我自己去更新了，在SSA Office等了半小时但觉得
值得，办事人员也很nice，至少比DMV好多了哈哈哈哈哈哈哈。
