第二天申请了B卡，
第三天要求快递B卡，
两天后收到快递A卡和B卡。
过了两三天，又收到平信A卡和B卡。
前后两张都是一模一样的，
好奇，这都可以使用的吗？

Normally the COS effective date is the date that your current nonimmigrant
status ends, the approval date, or the requested date, whichever occurs
earlier.
If you want the H4 starting on a special date, you need to call it out in
the cover letter and explain the reason to USCIS. Both successful and
unsuccessful stories were reported on this BBS in the past.
Also it is possible that H4 and H4 EAD may be not approved on the same day.

一般申请时间肯定早于你当前身份过期时间，但是批下来的时间往往晚于你过期时间。
如果生效选后者，岂不是你在批下来之前那段时间，没身份？

我看是USCIS写错了，太多的例子是选早的日期，尤其是当申请人的I-94在COS期间过期
了，一定是选相对较早的the current nonimmigrant status end date，而不是较晚的
the approval date。

我从来没说过我I-94马上过期啊，我的opt和I-94还有两年才过期
