对不起，冤枉版主了。那我就把N=2的proof 贴到这儿了，因为收到了好几个感兴趣id的
email，就不一一回了。

Want to prove:
The sum of two i.i.d. random variables is closer to Gaussian than each of the
RVs.
Proof:
A pdf can be approximated by its moments or cumulants. For a gaussian RV,
all its cumulants of order three and higher are zero.
Here is the simplest example by which you can get the basic idea:

你的第二个证明是不是有点不严谨啊？因为你用一个近似计算公式来证明的。
不过好像第一个证明已经足够了，缺乏的就是怎样justify how to use
cumulants to measure gaussianity.
