You have to first assume that wealth can only be held in the form
of bills. You can relax this later but it is easier to start with it.
if everyone burns 50% of his bills, there will be no real effect on the
economy other than 100% price increases across the board.
Assume that the destruction isn't even across the board, it is then identical
to even destruction + wealth redistribution. In this case, people's economic
behaviors will change due in part to wealth effect.
