My school has asked me to teach six classes per day for the next school year
with no additional compensation
for the sixth class. Traditionally, there is additional stipend for the
sixth class. But because of the recession,
everyone has to "contribute" (I was told the sixth class will be my "
contribution"). So, there will be four preps,
including two new preps, with no pay raise. Anyone shares similar experience?
My attitude is: if I cannot change it, embrace it!

一般中学老师都是上6节课，45分钟到50分钟一节，很正常。你之前比较舒服。

我们是上5节课一节plan.

We use traditional schedule. 7 periods a day. Most of the teachers teach 5
periods and cover one period of study hall. Of course, we have one planning
period. The ones who have to teach 6 periods per day, normally will be given
extra 4,000.

And don't forget you got 2% raise, and I did not. So....... Deal with it.
You will be fine. :)

我们学校老师都是这样，我之前呆的学校也6节课，实习的不同州的老师也都是6节课的
时间，我一直以为正常。不过我不打算问，我本来薪水就比同级的高，也许已经加上去
了吧。
