终于开始counseling 的学习了,第一的星期感觉还不错,除开太多的东西要读,看到这里有
这么多counseling界的前辈,心理顿感快慰,at least i am not alone,希望能多多的得到
你们的鼓励和建议.

http://www.socialservice.com/ is a good site for social wokers, counselors and other mental health professionals. This website does not send you irrevelant job posts if you are clear about the key words, for example if you set "Mandarin" & "chinese" as key words for the job description, the site will not send you other bilingual counseling jobs. Even Monster.com bothers me so much as well as many other job sites, what they did ?even if I narrowed down my desired job as "bilingual in CHine

谢谢,但现在开始找的话,哪怕找到了也不能去啊,有什么心得可以分享一下吗?

you can not take any offer but job hunting process gives you a heads-up of
what type of candidates agencies look for. For example if they tell you they
desire licensed people, you have two years to prepare yourself. I had good
reseraches on Boston,CA,New York,Florida these areas where I believe
bilinguals in Chinese are needed due to large Chinese population they serve.
CA and Boston responded professionally to my inquiries I guess they need us
badly. Big apple new york showed least interests t

question about CRCC, did you take this Examination before you graduated?
will it be easier to get job if we get the CRCC?

I was trained as a mental health counselor so my credential reflects my area
of practice.Rehab counseling has a different board taking care of credential/
license, you need to check out with your state board for eligibility . Pass
the exam is not enough for license I belive you need to have certain amount of
supervised working hours (workhours varies from state to state)as well as
credit hours from a CRCC(in your case)accredited prgram to be eligible for
credential.
