What kind of civil engineers are you looking for?

I got a few interviews. it seems not so difficult to find a job in industry.
But the salary is very low compared to Ph.ds in other major.
it is difficult to find a faculty for me. I do not have many publications
and the school ranks about 100. but postdoc may not help much for civil
engineers.
So I am still not sure.

Generally speaking, PhD is a negative point if you are looking for
traditional civil engineer job. You may pay attention to FEA modeling or
research/development position.

almost no R&D department in civil engineering companies. by the way big
companies usually do not respond to my application.
so dissappointed.
enven many faculty posistions prefer candidates with industry experience.
I hope I can get GC as soon as possible.
