columns in various materials (concrete, steel, wood, masonry).
- Gather all necessary design codes (ACI-318, AISC and Seismic Supplement,
NDS, Masonry, IBC, ASCE-7).
- Alan Williams' book "Seismic and WInd Design of Structures" is a must. IBC
Seismic Design Manuals (3 volumes) are also very good.
- During exams, write down all your assumptions and code ref sections, also
write down your thoughts and to-do-list if time is limit
