Cause they don't know the theory to grasp the American English Intonation. Actually there is few such theory. All the existing theory are too simple to help us. three most important factors in the quality of their english (i think), in descending order: 1. at what age they came here 2. inherent language skills 3. how hard they try. pdx is someone who has very good language skills, and she tries even harder. her english sounds pretty good to me. (i never spoke to her, but i can feel how she would sound just from reading her posts. the posts do represent someone in a way)

The problem is: does it matter? Or if I told you c is the right answer, what would you do to ensure that you actually follow that rule when you are talking?
