Moderate drinking cuts risk of sudden cardiac death
NEW YORK, Aug 30 (Reuters Health) -- Men who consume 2 to 6 alcoholic drinks
per week have a significantly lower risk of sudden cardiac death than men who
drink more frequently or never drink, according to researchers.
"This is the largest study to look at alcohol consumption and cardiac death
in men and the first to find a reduction in sudden cardiac death from light
drinking," said study lead author Dr. Christine Albert of Harvard Medical
