Kara woke up. The sound of high-heels on the wooden
floor coming down through the corridor became more and
more clear. It was as if the cold air of a winter night
rendered it even more crispy. It added a musical subtune
to it.
Suddenly, the footsteps stopped right in front of her door.
"Vera, is that you?" Kara asked, raised her upper body up
on her right elbow. Forty-eight hours of hard work might
