1）we should show respect to/for his history.
2）i will make it up to/for you.
3）he sounded cryptic on/over the phone.
4) putting his own hapiness over/above mine.
哪个对？
5) so now what?/so what now?
这两句都有人说，感情色彩有什么不同？“那么现在我们该做什么/怎么办呢?”
6）it's nice meeting you/it's nice meeting with you.什么时候加with? 我觉得说
thanks for meeting me的时候从来没听过加with的。

什么时候用respect to?
其他回答都make sense跟我猜的差不多,赫赫.

Referring to M-W definitions of "respect" http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/respect, use "to" if you mean 3c.
Most of the time, people say "show resepect for" and "pay respect to".
