NSF被拒，唉，很沮丧。也不知道该怎么办了。拒的理由也不是特别strong。或许
proposal写的不好。panel给的review基本上都是good/very good. 是不是要全部都
very good才有希望？

我听说很多人都是写到7个, 8个才开始拿钱现在经济形势不好... 我觉得抱着学习的
心态吧

认识周围几个都拿到了，有的等了很久很久也最终拿到了。
拿funding压力可真不小...

另外，可不可以向program officer征求一些建议以用于以后申请？

cft 也不一定，看是哪个program。有的program good/very good就可能上，有的必须
要有很多exellent才成。
btw:能分享一下是那个方向?

as i told you, proposal being select is not about the proposal, it is about
how far you have established in this community -say how many papers you
published, how much you make the manager know about you, how good you please
/team up big bulls in this topic. otherwise, any comments can kill your
proposal.

安慰一下. 这和专业panel有关. 有的panel要excellent,有的good/very good就能拿.

In my field NSF, you need at least 3 excellent out of 5, and the
rest very good. One fair can easily kill any proposal.
I always deem proposal as a stochastic process, you sometimes get it
sometimes not, almost no correlation with quality of the proposals (assuming
your proposals meet the minimum quality standard).
There are always millions of reasons to kill a proposal, but only
limited reasons to fund a proposal.

大家差不多。
跟PROGRAM有关吧。
我这个PROGRAM要求至少一个EXCELLENT
ANY ONE OR MORE FAIR 不予考虑
可惜我的RATING 就是GOOD或者GOOD/VERY GOOD
其实GOOD 就等于 NOT GOOD
