A question about startup package. What is the range of money that is
reasonable for an AP in cancer research in a state medical school? Can you
request a 3-year support for a tech + a post-doc in the package? Thanks!

差不多吧尤其如果医学院把你的工资也算进去的话，1.5M真没多少

这个看你们学校的具体情况吧也有可能工资是单独算的，不用你argue。
但是不管是不是单独算一般都是3年吧？之后就得大部分从经费出了

这个也就是平均水平
俺刚刚写了一个三年的startup budget,除掉自己工资用grant cover
如果是雇两个人的话，105K
如果雇三个人的话，125K
俺不做什么cell culture啥的，所以supply要的比较少。
如果你做cell culture, mice,那么supply 和animal 还得多要点。

你不需要买一些贵重仪器吗

if you do cell culture or mice, you need ask for more than 20k
unless you have a separate budget for animal cost.
