请教一些关于电话面试的经验# Faculty - 发考题

fresh phd, 从去年申请到现在，一共经历了4个电话面试，只有一个电话面试后的
campus interview邀请，十有八九还是因为老板的朋友在search committee里...
个人感觉准备的还不错，主要的问题一般就两个，现在的研究和以后的研究。电话面试
的时候，总感觉关于未来的研究上，自己说的不是很有信心，因为毕竟还没开始做呢。
尤其是当对方问得很仔细的时候。还有就是按照自己准备的答案说的时候，经常被打断
。一被打断就有点难以回到原来的思路上去。
还有就是心态上，对方是领域里的大拿，很难摆正自己的心态，去作为一个colleague
去讲自己的计划。
大拿们，给点建议把！！！不能再浪费老板给创造的机会了，浪费不起啊。。。

多跟别人讲讲排练一下. 对自己的东西胸有成竹了,别人再怎么打断,都可以再要求
回到自己的思路上, 必要的时候 assertive 一下, 掌控对话方向.
自己说的时候要 quick to the point, 不要绕弯子, 训练自己准备个"elevator
version"就是一分钟把自己主要的东东说明白,减少被打断的机会.
别人说话的时候用心听, 脑子转的快一点,想着怎么接话. 不清楚的时候可以要求
对方重复,或者自己先确认一下对方的问题,争取一点思考时间.
对于自己做的东东经常被问到的问题要有所准备. 实在是没准备到不知道怎么回答
的问题,实事求是, 可以抱着一种探讨的态度, 表示 appreciate, 表示这个问题
对自己有帮助,回头要好好考虑一下.

不管是电话面试还是job talk, 如果遇到棘手的问题, 也许下面的句式有点帮助:
Don’t be defensive; stay calm and be confident enough to admit that you don
’t know everything. Feel free to ask for clarification
